Pencil Beach

wow...finally i've finished! this took me, like, 2 wks to do. ha...i got to try out my shading tools that i got for xmas!

ok the explanation...of doom:
i've really been wanting to go to the beach lately and i really want summer to get here nao!!!!!!
these are my characters of meh story! btw: if you steal any of my story characters i WILL hunt you down and gut you like a fish!!! *snarl* btw2 i will put in bios and individual pictures of the characters later, when i make a good drawing of them. btw3 the names are what the beach kids would probably give them (if it says "hot", "babe", etc. it is from the opposite gender for all you perverts out there). i know lotsa btw's...anyhoot, in order from right to left (cuz i is left-handed and that's the manga way):

1) the "hot/adorable French guy": ok...yeah...guess who. that's the Marquis de Lafayette. the COOLEST Frenchie eva. under Washington (meh luv XD) he ish my favorite person. he's not much of a beach person; pff...he just gets a little homesick around the ocean. ( i know...i'm soo mean...)

2) "Ghostie" (if she's white) or "Lobster" (if she's gots a burn): this is Emerald. she's like me: wicked white and burns ubr easily. she's got a little bit of a British accent. Em is not much of a beach-goer either because she is so WHITE. but there is one thing that she loves about the beach: volleyball. she would play all day if she could.

3) "Soulsurfer": Lexy!!!! :3 i luv this character; everything that she does cracks me up. Lexy really loves surfboarding which is why i gave her a surfboard.

4) "Cutie": Sam is the most adorable kid ever! she's the one who builds sandcastles and jumps over the waves even at the age of 16! >w<

5) "Beachbabe": Anna is the typical popular teenage girl. she doesn't go in the water and she doesn't do any beach activities; she just sits in the sun, listening to her music, SUNBATHING...that's it...of course, this catches the eyes of many guys who practically fall at her feet. (Anna cracks me up too sometimes...XD

6) "Emo kid" or "Outcast": that kid sitting down is Adrian (his name means pessimist, which really fits). Adrian is the one who doesn't want to have anything to do with the beach. he's afraid of being teased (for what, i have no idea) by the buff beach boys, which is sorta depressing.

7) the "annoying parent": ok this guy standing in the background is Washington. yes i know he isn't wearing shorts in the summer but he's just weird (his style of modern clothing makes me think of my dad...lol). this guy bugs the shit outta the girls: he baisically doesn't let them do anything, but he's just trying to be protective. (i'll tell you how he meets the girls in his bio.)

ok now i need comments! how can i make my pencil drawings better? is the ocean's shading ok? how 'bout the people (i know it's not really manga but it's ok, right?)? i'd really appreciate some advice! <333
